An Indonesian wooden house floating in the treetops of the jungle of Ubud, Bali. This joglo has been designed and handcrafted with love. Surrounded by trees, overlooking the local rice farms. By choosing this home, you will experience the true beauty of what makes Bali so unique.

The villa was built using local materials using traditional techniques and crafted by local craftsmen. All timber has been reclaimed from 100 year old homes known as joglo's and converted into a modern tree house. Semi-open walls, natural textures and finishes emphasize the beauty of antique wood, craftsmanship and the surrounding nature in home design.

It is located not in the city of Ubud, but in the countryside, on the outskirts of the Ubud region. It's about 10-15 minutes from the city. If you would like to travel to Ubud, we recommend hiring a driver to take you by car, or you can rent a scooter for the duration of your stay and we will help you arrange that. If you want to be closer to shops, cafes and restaurants and want to be within walking distance of such amenities, this villa is not for you and we suggest booking a villa in the center of Ubud.

The tree villa is located on a hill. It includes a rope bridge to the front door, steep trackless stairs to the second floor, an outdoor pool and a high descent from the edge of the pool. Due to its unusual characteristics, this villa is not suitable for young children or people with reduced mobility.

The area nestled among the jungle, rice paddies and farmland will undoubtedly contain insects, ants, mosquitoes and lizards. We do our best to keep the house as clean and insect free as possible, however, choosing to live as close to nature with a semi-open house will expose you to the elements and sometimes it is difficult to completely avoid it. Keep in mind that wildlife comes to life at night and the sounds of nature are too loud for some people. We provide earplugs for guests who need them, however if you are light sleepers this should be considered when booking this villa.

All of our villas are private, but as they are in close proximity to other guests, we ask you to always respect the rules of residence and not make noise after 22:00.
