Seasons in the Dominican Republic: when is the best time to fly
Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the island of Haiti is the perfect destination for a great holiday. The Dominican Republic, which occupies two-thirds of its area, is one of the most popular winter destinations. You can relax here at any time of the year. This opinion has its pitfalls and positive features. In the Dominican Republic, as in other resort countries, there is a high and low season. The high season is considered here: December, February and March.
At the same time, the average temperature of water and air is higher than in other months. Also, in high season, there is less chance of the destructive cyclones that are already so familiar to North Americans. Of the advantages, prices can be noted. They drop by almost 2 times. This is an ideal solution for people who wanted to try something exotic for themselves for a nominal fee. The temperature difference is negligible! The low season is 25-27 degrees Celsius, while the high season boasts a slight increase of 5 degrees. It is almost not felt in any way and you will be comfortable resting both in high season and in low season.
What is called the "Rainy Season" in the Dominican Republic has almost nothing to do with lingering downpours. Rather, a light and refreshing rain that will be appropriate in hot weather. Sometimes there are showers, but their duration is no more than 5-10 minutes. The rainy season here lasts from May to October. The hurricane season conventionally begins in June and ends similarly to the rainy season - in October. After prices begin to rise in November and in December prices reach their peak. Despite this, there are so many great deals that price / duration seekers are very quick to pick up.
What to expect in the Dominican Republic from each month? How to choose the time to travel? Here's what you can roughly expect from each month:

The Dominican Republic is very comfortable. The temperature is 27-29 degrees and it is the least rainy month of the year. The water temperature will be about the same as the air temperature.
• February

• March

• August
The same weather trends continue as in July.
• September
It is getting more humid and this month is considered the peak of the hurricane season. But more often it all boils down to strong storms and squalls of wind, after which clear sunny weather re-establishes.
