Balinese Features
When arriving in Bali for the first time, many tourists are faced with the individual characteristics of the Balinese. This is amusing to some, some are indifferent, and some are frightened and annoyed, so there is a need to prepare you in advance for the peculiarities of the Balinese character or mentality of the indigenous people of Bali. So why be prepared when arriving in Bali:

Traffic on the road
At first glance, it may seem that this is not organized traffic on roads, but some kind of chaotic movement of a huge number of all kinds of motorcycles, scooters, many of them rushing along without notice of intersections or traffic lights. There is a rule: if someone is trying to drive faster, it means that he really needs and no one interferes

Everyone is smiling
Balinese are very simple and friendly people. The local religion educates them in respect for each other. The Balinese are not jealous, they believe that they live in the best place on earth and they have everything for a normal life. You will be surprised, but in Bali everyone is smiling and this is not a mandatory service smile, but simple and sincere. In response, you yourself will begin to constantly smile, get positive emotions and a good mood, and as a result, your vacation is in high spirits

Religiosity of the population
For every Balinese, mental balance is very important. This means that spirits and gods must be appeased. Walking the streets, you will probably be outraged by the garbage in the form of broken boxes with flowers, rice, slices of fruit and even with something made from palm leaves. It is customary for the Balinese to make offerings to gods and spirits every day. Every day, thousands of such boxes are placed in temples, at statues of gods or spirits, or simply put up on the ground or at the threshold of a house or institution. Take it for granted and, walking along the streets, look at your feet, try not to step on offerings and not to anger spirits

Not punctuality
The Balinese simply do not have mandatory punctuality. Here, time flows quietly and leisurely. If you are at the hotel asking the administration to send you a maid, then you should not hope that she will appear in a few minutes
